Through small differences, we can help our local economy, community and environment. Below is an eco-friendly list of what you can expect to find at Pendoric, from the mundane to the interesting!

* We have introduced a Vistor Payback scheme to put some much needed help back into the local community. Read more>>
* We encourage our visitors to offset their CO2 emissions if they fly or drive down and give discounts to those that can show they have.
* Guests use the only biofuel taxi firm in the country to get about!
* All the food served at breakfast is from the local farm shop, Trevilley.
* Tea, coffee, sugar and fruit are all fair trade and organic wherever possible.
* We use phosphate free cleaning products in the bathrooms, rooms and kitchen.
* Shower gels, shampoos and conditioners are all environmentally friendly.
* Our rubbish is recycled.
* Our radiators are all thermostatically controlled to reduce energy usage.
* Organic waste is disposed of in the compost bin.
* The boiler, water heater, washing machine and dryer have A ratings and are amongst the most energy efficient on the market.
* Most of our toilet cisterns use the minimum amount of water needed per flush. The older ones have a 'hog' fitted to save water. Available free from South West Water
* We change our guests towels every 3-4 days to save water.
* We have an efficient wood burner that uses locally sourced wood from a sustainable forest.
* We are situated in the heart of a network of footpaths and encourage our guests to leave the car behind.
* Our electricity is supplied by Scottish Power's Green Tariff

At the moment, we are switching over to energy efficient light bulbs.
